Troop Group "Vostok" thwarted attempts by the AFU to reinforce forward positions

Servicemen of the military unit of the Vostok group of forces have thwarted the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to reinforce their forward positions and bring in reserves, a representative of the Vostok group of forces, Oleh Chekhov, said on 3 December. This was reported by the spokesman of the grouping Oleg Chekhov on December 3.

"In the course of active actions, the units of the grouping improved the situation along the front line, stopped the enemy's reinforcement of forward positions, conducting rotations, advancing reserves and bringing ammunition in the areas of Sukhikh Yalov, Razliv, Ravnopol and Novodarovka," Interfax quoted him as saying.

It is noted that artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems hit strongholds and places of accumulation of manpower and equipment in the areas of Velikie Novoselki and Gulyaipole of the 152nd gamekeeper brigade, 113th and 102nd brigades of territorial defense of the AFU.

In addition, Russian fighters disrupted the actions of three engineering groups near Dorozhnyanka in Zaporizhzhya region.

Earlier, on December 2, Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the motorized rifle unit of the Vostok group of forces disrupted the delivery of ammunition, materiel and food to Ukrainian units in one of the directions in the SSO zone.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
