Boxers Bivol and Beterbiev will fight a rematch on February 22 in Riyadh

The rematch between boxers Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will be held in the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on February 22. This was announced on December 3 by the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al al-Sheikh, in the social network X (former Twitter).

In parallel with the fight of these boxers, six other bouts will take place. The chairman's announcement states that the list of fights on February 22 is "one of the greatest" in history.

On the night of October 13 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, boxer Artur Beterbiev defeated his opponent Dmitry Bivol in an absolute world boxing title fight and became the absolute champion in his weight class.

The two boxers were originally scheduled to meet on June 1, but it had to be postponed due to Beterbiev's injury. In the same month, a new date was set. According to Beterbiev's American promoter Bob Arum, both athletes will receive $10 million each for the championship fight.

Beterbiev, 39, has 21 wins and is the WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion of the world. In turn, the 33-year-old Bivol came out victorious in 23 fights, he owns the WBA and IBO belts.
