Russian schoolchildren return from China after math Olympiad

Schoolchildren who participated in the 40th Chinese National Mathematics Olympiad, which was held in the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, have returned to Russia. Images of the guys' return are at the disposal of Izvestia.

"The Chinese Olympiad is traditionally more difficult than many Olympiads in which our guys participate. It is very technical <...> Our guys had a hard enough time, but the results of the Olympiad are satisfactory," - said the head coach of the Russian national team in mathematics Kirill Sukhov.

It is reported that six people from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok and Kurgan took part in the Olympiad.

"Russian schoolchildren showed the best result. They took four gold and two silver medals", - indicated the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on November 16, the Central University said that with the members of the "Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence" - T-Bank, Sber and VK - launch a free program to prepare high school students for participation in the international Olympiad on artificial intelligence, which will be held in August 2025 in China.

Before that, on November 11, the Russian holding T1 together with its partners announced the start of the Olympiad "T1.GenII" for pupils of 8-11th grades. As part of the competition, students will be able to demonstrate their abilities in interacting with artificial intelligence.
