A T-72BZ tank crew destroyed AFU strongholds in the Krasnoarmeysk direction

The crew of a T-72B3 tank of the Center group of troops with a faulty turret supported assault units and destroyed strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during an offensive in the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 3.
"The task was to break through the enemy's defense line and destroy the enemy's fortified positions. Which we did. After the arrival of the FPV drone, our turret failed, it did not turn," said tank commander Grigory Kryshtal.
The tankers were given a combat mission to break through the fortified enemy defenses and cover the assault units of the Center group of troops. In the course of the combat mission, the tank was hit by numerous artillery shells and an FPV drone that damaged the turret.
However, the tank crew decided to continue the combat mission to get out of the situation and not to leave their battle comrades without cover during the offensive. The gunner-operator gave instructions to the mechanic-driver and turned the turret of the vehicle himself to increase the accuracy of guidance.
As a result of skillful control of the tank, fortified machine gun positions, automatic grenade launchers, dugouts, and enemy personnel were hit. As a result, the assault units of the Center group of forces managed to break through the fortified enemy defenses and seize the AFU strongholds.
Earlier, on November 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that soldiers of the crew of a T-80 tank of the motorized rifle unit of the Vostok group of troops hit an AFU stronghold, ensuring the attack of assault groups in the South Donetsk direction.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
