The BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the Tula Guards unit of the Airborne Troops (VDV) have destroyed a cluster of infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) while carrying out combat missions in the border areas of Kursk Region. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 3.

It is noted that unmanned aviation units of Tula paratroopers while conducting aerial reconnaissance identified a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), trying to hide in a forest area.

Artillery crews of the Grad MLRS fired an accurate salvo of a package of rockets at the specified square, destroying the AFU infantry. At the same time, objective control footage obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in real time confirmed the destruction of the targets.

After accomplishing the combat task, the artillery paratroopers promptly changed positions in order to remain undetected and not to come under the enemy's return fire.

"When the vehicle arrives at the firing position, the deployment time is about two minutes. Our crew is very experienced, well-coordinated, we have been working for more than one year, we are quite successful in solving combat tasks," said the commander of the reactive platoon with the call sign Hero.

Earlier, on November 22, calculations of Grad MLRS of the Guards Artillery Brigade of the "South" group of forces hit an AFU stronghold in the Kurakhov direction.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
