Botulism victims have been paid first compensation

Prepared food delivery services "Samokat" and "Kitchen on the District" have paid out more than 4 million rubles in pre-trial compensation to seven victims of botulism, the legal service Destra Legal told Izvestia.
"In August 2024, lawyers of our service massively sent pre-trial claims to the services. Negotiations and court work are still underway to obtain funds from the guilty party," specified Destra Legal director Boris Feldman.
Out of more than 20 claims filed, seven of them were concluded with pre-trial dispute settlement agreements. These victims refused from further proceedings. Three more lawsuits with claims for compensation for moral judgment have been sent to court, Destra Legal specified. Their size, according to the legal service, ranges from 300 thousand to several million rubles.
"On these episodes during the negotiations with "Samokat" and "Kitchen on the district" lawyers failed to achieve the fulfillment by the companies of the requirements of the victims", - said Feldman.
