The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the feats of the Russian military in the area of the Strategic Air Defense Forces (SADF)

On December 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported new feats of Russian servicemen fighting in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

The ministry described the exploits of Staff Sergeant Nikolay Zagranichnov, who carried out defense in one of the important tactical areas as part of a group of Russian Armed Forces servicemen. Ukrainian militants, trying to regain control of their lost positions, began shelling. As a result of the attack, the captain of the unit was wounded, but Zagranichnov promptly gave him first aid and evacuated him to a safe area, after which he commanded the unit himself.

Zagranichnov's courage and heroism allowed the Russian Armed Forces group to repel several attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), prevent the breakthrough of defensive lines, and inflict significant damage to their manpower and equipment, which led to their retreat.

The Defense Ministry also noted the merits of Private Andrei Kozlov. He performed the task of organizing stable communication for a unit located in close proximity to the line of contact. While moving towards the position, the serviceman spotted a Ukrainian drone heading towards the Russian guns and destroyed the drone with aimed fire.

Upon arrival at the position, Kozlov set up the main and backup communication channels between the artillerymen and the command. Thanks to his work, the artillery crews received coordinates of the accumulation of Ukrainian militants who were preparing to break through the Russian Armed Forces' defenses, and hit their positions with aimed fire.

Earlier, on December 2, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces military destroyed AFU pickup trucks in Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian army pickup trucks were detected with the help of a drone. The vehicles were on their way to the positions for the rotation of the AFU personnel. The means of objective control recorded a direct hit by FPV drone calculations on three vehicles.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
