More than 100 companies have applied to the grocery labeling pilot project

Over 100 companies have applied for participation in a pilot project on grocery labeling. The applications were received by the Center for Development of Advanced Technologies (CDPT) - the operator of the state system "Honest Mark", the press service of the organization told Izvestia.
"We see great interest from companies. Participation in the project allows them to test the application of codes on different types of packaging and work out all the processes of working with the system. For example, thanks to the participation of "Russian Grocery Company", for the first time spices were labeled on the production. Within five months of the project, 357,376 goods with unique codes have already appeared on the shelves of stores," explained Revaz Yusupov, Deputy Director General of CRPT, to Izvestia.
The pilot project started on July 1, 2024 and will end on February 28, 2025. Participation is voluntary and labeling equipment is provided free of charge.
On March 1, 2025, mandatory registration of grocery manufacturers in the Honest Mark system will begin. The first stage will start on May 1 - from this date codes will become mandatory for snacks: chips, breadcrumbs, bread, corn sticks. From July 1, mandatory labeling will apply to sauces, spices, dry soups, broths and vinegar.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia starts the first stage of mandatory labeling of certain types of canned products. As reported "Izvestia" in the CRPT, December 1 in the system "Honest Mark" was registered 135 companies - manufacturers of canned fish. More than 5.1 million units of products with a special code have already arrived on store shelves.
