Captain Pavel Yakushev, a participant of the program "Time of Heroes" and holder of the Order of Courage, was appointed to the position of Advisor to the Deputy Director General for Personnel for Patriotic Education of Rosatom State Corporation. The corresponding statement was published on the program's website on December 2.

Yakushev noted that the program has brought together people who have been through combat operations, know how to work in a team and have the skills to manage a team in difficult conditions. He also pointed out that during the training he was able to understand "the main nuances of the state civil service" and "gained valuable knowledge and skills."

"My work will be aimed at promoting initiatives related to supporting veterans of special military operation and nuclear industry, as well as their families. I plan to pay special attention to supporting young professionals and their projects. This is a big and important work that we must do together," Yakushev said.

It is noted that in May of this year Pavel Yakushev became one of 83 participants of the first stream of the program "Time of Heroes" and underwent an internship under the mentorship of General Director of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev.

Yakushev was born in Mytishchi, Moscow Region, in 1979. In 2002, he graduated from the Moscow Military Institute of the Federal Border Guard Service of the Russian Federation. Between 2003 and 2022, he was engaged in entrepreneurship. Then in 2022 he became a participant in a special operation and was appointed commander of a motorized rifle company. In 2023 he was awarded the Order of Courage.

The launch of the program "Time of Heroes" was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his message to the Federal Assembly on February 29. The Russian leader specified that the participants of the special operation will be given the opportunity to enter leading universities and get a civilian specialty as a priority.

The "Time of Heroes" personnel program is aimed at training leaders to work in state and municipal authorities from the participants of the special operation in Ukraine.

Later, on November 15, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted public interest in the program. Asked by reporters whether there would be more appointments to high gubernatorial posts, as happened recently with some of the program's participants, Peskov said that it was "not a one-time thing, it is an ongoing process." The public council of the presidential program "Time of Heroes" announced the start of recruitment for the second stream on November 14.
