Two 17-year-old teenagers set fire to the buildings of military enlistment offices in Kharkiv. This was reported on December 2 by the press service of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office in its Telegram channel.

It is noted that they are charged under part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Diversion committed under martial law by prior conspiracy of a group of persons").

According to the prosecutor's office, in the period from May to June 2024, young people set fire to two buildings of the regional territorial center of acquisition and social support (RTCK and SP), located in different districts of Kharkiv.

The accused are in custody. The case was sent to the Kiev district court of Kharkiv.

The teenagers face a penalty of imprisonment for up to 15 years or life imprisonment.

Earlier in the day, the Zaporizhzhya regional court sentenced a Ukrainian citizen to 14 years in a strict regime colony for sabotage on the Melitopol railroad.

On November 24, the Ukrayinska Pravda business daily wrote that Ukraine has seen an increase in the number of sabotage attacks against law enforcers. In addition, cases of arson of vehicles belonging to the military have recently become more frequent in Ukraine. Thus, on October 23, the car of the head of combat training of one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was blown up in Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The owner was inside the cabin, he was injured in the explosion.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended it. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are banned from leaving the country.
