The Russian Armed Forces (AF) are conducting an offensive in the Kupyansk, Borovsk and Volchansk directions. This was reported by the head of the Russian administration of Kharkiv Region, Vitaliy Ganchev, on December 2.

"We have an offensive in several directions: partially Kupyansk direction, now the offensive is already developing in Borovsk direction, it is Izium district, and the third section of the front - the northern part of Volchansk and Liptsy," TASS reports his words.

Ganchev said that the Russian military had successes in the area of the villages of Kruglyakovka and Kolesnyakovka, as well as clearing settlements closer to Glushkovka.

It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are making attempts to replenish reserves and resources in Volchansk, but Russian troops are holding back enemy counterattacks.

Earlier, on November 26, Russian units of the "West" group of forces liberated the settlement of Kopanki in Kharkiv region. The fighters also repelled five counterattacks by militants, who lost up to 440 people in the zone of responsibility of the "West".

The Russian Armed Forces are actively advancing on the front, liberating populated areas. Thus, on November 22, it was reported that the settlement of Novodmitrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) was taken under control, and a day earlier - the liberation of Dalnego in the DNR.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
