Putin announced a meeting with Kudrin on December 3


Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is scheduled to meet with Alexei Kudrin, former head of the Russian Audit Chamber and advisor on corporate development of Yandex, on December 3.
During a meeting with the Russian leader on December 2, one of the participants in the IV Congress of Young Scientists talked about what projects from IT could be transferred to biotech. He pointed out that there is a need for closer interaction between technology companies and higher education institutions.
"Alexei Leonidovich Kudrin I think I will have tomorrow. We will talk to him about it (Yandex's educational programs. - Ed.)," Putin said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian leader said that Russia could achieve science funding up to 2% of gross domestic product (GDP) earlier than the planned 2030. Putin also noted that special attention will be paid to issues related to the training of qualified engineering personnel. According to him, one million specialists should be trained in the next three years, and by 2030 this figure should grow to 1.8 million people.
The IV Congress of Young Scientists was held from 27 to 29 November in the Sirius Educational Center near Sochi, with more than 7,000 participants from 62 countries.
