Deputies proposed to pay disabled children two pensions each

Disabled children, disabled from childhood of groups I and II, who have lost one or both parents, are proposed to be paid disability and survivor pensions. As "Izvestia" found out, such a bill will be submitted to the State Duma on December 3 by deputies of the faction "Just Russia - For Truth" headed by Sergei Mironov.
"It must be recognized that social disability benefits in Russia are very low, and when children lose one or both parents, their standard of living drops catastrophically. Citizens write about this in their appeals, pointing out that only one social disability pension is no longer enough to provide even the simplest and most basic needs," reads the document, which Izvestia has.
It notes that today, in the event of the death of one of the parents, a healthy child can count on a social survivor pension, while a child with a disability is deprived of additional payments and can receive either a disability pension or a survivor pension.
"To solve the problem, it is proposed to pay disabled children, disabled from childhood of groups I and II, who have lost one or both parents, two pensions at once - disability and survivor's pension. It should be noted that at present some categories of Russian citizens already have the right to receive two pensions at once (for example, disabled children of servicemen killed in the performance of tasks during a special military operation)," - stated in the document.
Earlier, on September 25, it was reported that the authorities are discussing the expansion of the list of life situations in which citizens will be able to receive early without loss of income funds accumulated under the long-term savings program. Such a right can be obtained by participants who will establish the first group of disability, as well as if the money is needed for expensive treatment for a child under 18 years old. This was reported to Izvestia by Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market, and confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
