Foreign Ministry says medical insurance for Ukrainians in Russia has been terminated


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced the termination of the intergovernmental agreement on medical insurance for Ukrainian citizens temporarily staying in Russia from October 28, 2024. This was reported by the press service of the Department on its official website.
"October 28, 2024 terminated the agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on medical insurance of citizens of the Russian Federation, temporarily staying in Ukraine, and citizens of Ukraine, temporarily staying in the Russian Federation, signed in Moscow on October 28, 1999," - stated in the publication.
Earlier, on September 13, it was reported that Ukraine had withdrawn from the agreement of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which concerns the investigation of accidents with employees of enterprises. The document was signed in Moscow on December 9, 1994.
On August 30, it became known about Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement with Russia on classified telephone communications, which was signed in Moscow on February 27, 1998.
In mid-May, the country also withdrew from the organization's agreements on armed forces and border troops of 1991, strategic forces of 1991 and the status of strategic forces of 1992. In addition, on April 30, the representative of the Verkhovna Rada Cabinet of Ministers, Taras Melnychuk, informed about the termination of the agreement on cooperation in the field of health care.
