A doctor has warned of the risk of contracting gastritis in the office

Natalia Khomeriki, Associate Professor of the Department of Gastroenterology at the Faculty of Advanced Medical Education of the Vladimirsky Moscow Medical Research Institute, has warned about the risk of contracting gastritis in the office.
In a conversation with Radio 1 on Monday, December 2, the specialist explained that the main cause of gastritis is infection with Helicobacter pylori. For this reason, the disease is considered infectious.
It is not the gastritis itself that is transmitted from person to person, but it is this infection that provokes inflammation of the gastric mucosa.
"It can get to you through water, for example, or because of poor hygiene, when, say, drinking in the office from common cups," - said the doctor.
According to her, to detect this bacteria in the body, you can take a blood test or conduct a breath test. If it is detected, treatment should be started immediately, in particular to conduct an endoscopic examination, and then take samples of gastric mucosa.
On November 25, cardiologist Oleg Rudomanov said that aching chest pain may be a sign of gastritis. According to him, in gastritis, the pain has a nagging and dull character, similar to rasping from the inside. Most often the pain syndrome is associated with eating, reports 360.ru.

On November 12, nutritionist Larisa Gabdulkhakova told Izvestia that the most common causes of gastritis are improper diet, eating food that is too hot or too cold, eating in a hurry, and poorly chewed or dry food.
Also in November, gastroenterologist Irina Perminova in a conversation with the agency of city news "Moscow" said that people who have atrophic gastritis with reduced secretion of hydrochloric acid, should be careful with the use of unripe persimmons.
In October, gastroenterologist Alexei Paramonov warned of the deadly danger of gastritis. He noted that gastritis is often asymptomatic and can be detected only during medical examination with the help of biopsy. The gastroenterologist also noted that in 90% of cases stomach cancer is a consequence of chronic gastritis, Pravda.Ru reports.
Also in October, gastroenterologist Lubov Lavrova said that in the absolute majority of cases, gastritis does not have any manifestations, including pain. This ailment is most often associated with functional dyspepsia or other GI diseases, writes "Moscow 24".
