Officer admits Ukraine's involvement in damage to Druzhba oil pipeline

The head of a private intelligence company, FSB reserve officer Roman Romachev, has said whether Ukraine might be involved in the damage to the Druzhba oil pipeline.
In a conversation with "Abzats" on Monday, December 2, Romachev noted that one should always look at who benefits from an incident.
"Ukraine is one of a pleiad of countries whose goal is to destroy economic relations between Russia and Europe. Another question is how realistically possible this is, whether there are technical means there, saboteurs who are capable [of doing this]," he said.
According to him, there have already been terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation using GUR personnel, so "Ukraine could take part in it." Also, Romachev noted, representatives of Western intelligence services, such as Polish ones, could be involved.
"Warsaw is left virtually without Russian gas, they have nothing to lose, and they aim to maximize the destruction of Russia's relations with the remaining Europe," the interlocutor of the publication concluded.
Earlier on December 2, the Polish company-operator of the Druzhba pipeline PERN did not rule out any reasons for its damage, including intent. According to the company representative, until the end of the internal investigation, none of the versions are excluded, writes RIAMO. Currently, specialists are busy restoring oil pumping, eliminating the consequences of the leak, as well as finding out the causes of the incident, the website kp.ru reports.
The leakage of the raw materials pipeline "Druzhba" was found in the area of the city of Pneva. Through this string oil is delivered to the refinery in Germany, notes 360.ru.
December 1, it became known that the Druzhba oil pipeline was damaged in Poland. As a result, there was a fuel leak. According to the State Fire Service of Poland, the accident occurred near the town of Pniewy in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, RT specifies.
In August last year, as NSN writes, shut down one of the strings of the Druzhba oil pipeline due to depressurization.
