A residential building in Novaya Kakhovka has caught fire as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kherson Region. This was reported by regional governor Volodymyr Saldo in his Telegram channel on December 2.
He noted that there were no casualties from the fire.
"One of the UAVs attacking the city fell without exploding and was neutralized by sappers of the group of troops "Dnipro"," wrote Saldo.
The governor also pointed out that over the past 24 hours as a result of shelling by the AFU in the Kherson region suffered one person - a 38-year-old resident of Alyoshek. He was hospitalized with contusion.
"In Kakhovka, a non-operational school building and two gas distribution pipelines were damaged. Repair work is being carried out," Saldo added.

On November 25, the governor of Kherson region said that the Baba Yaga drone chased an ambulance on its way to Malaya Kardashinka for several kilometers. Thanks to the skill of the driver, who dodged the drops, the car continued to move to the last, but the hit of the fifth shell rendered the car inoperable.
Before that, on October 11, the AFU attacked with a drone a brigade of Russian firefighters who were extinguishing a dry tree that had caught fire in Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). After returning to the unit after the attack, two EMERCOM employees felt unwell. The firefighters were hospitalized, their lives are not threatened.
The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
