The "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation will transfer manually operated cars to veterans of the special military operation. This was announced on December 2 by Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, chairman of the fund Anna Tsivileva.

"We hand over manually operated cars as a technical means of rehabilitation, which allows to study, work, help loved ones," - said Tsivileva.

She noted that the initiative was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The deputy defense minister also specified that 82 heroes from all over the country have already received the cars.

At the moment, according to Tsivileva, work is underway to provide 500 heroes across the country with such cars by the end of 2025. Tsivileva noted that thanks to these cars, veterans' opportunities are expanded so that they can engage in sports and master new professions. As she pointed out, this activity by the foundation is based on the opinions of the heroes themselves and their families.

"Many of them work for the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and the military-social center of the Russian Ministry of Defense. They inspire thousands of people by their example. This is their great merit," - added the chairman of the fund.

Earlier, on November 11, it became known that the bill, which would allow participants of SSO and their relatives to get the right to free education in universities, will be introduced in the State Duma by the head of the Committee on Science and Higher Education Sergei Kabyshev and the head of the faction "Just Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov.

In order to balance the rights of the participants of the SWE and their children studying at the expense of budgetary and own funds, the bill proposes to give educational organizations of higher education the right not to charge tuition fees from children studying under an agreement on the provision of paid educational services.
