New Year's illumination was lit up on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg continues to actively decorate the city for the upcoming winter holidays. New Year's illumination has already illuminated Nevsky Prospekt. Golden lights were lit on the main street in the evening on Sunday, December 1, reports TV channel "78".

"By December 10, the city will be decorated, the main stage of decoration will be finished. I would say that probably 90% of the decoration will be done. And will remain with us fir trees - they are from December 20. And maybe some point addresses", - said the head of the city center of advertising and festive decoration Andrei Chistyakov.

According to him, there will be no radical changes in the design, the Northern capital will be decorated as before: will install a live Christmas tree on Palace Square and in Kronstadt.

Earlier "Izvestia" wrote how to choose the main New Year's tree in Moscow. The search for a festive tree usually begins in late summer. Every year the jury forms a list of 50-70 candidates.
