A criminal case was opened against the Muscovite for committing crimes under part 1, 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of the activities of an extremist organization"). In addition, searches were conducted at his place of residence, during which electronic devices confirming his involvement in the crime were seized.
It was established that no later than March of this year, the defendant, in order to make a profit, created an extremist community, which promoted the ideology of the LGBT movement banned in Russia.
It is reported that the investigators intend to petition the Moscow court to elect a preventive measure against the defendant.
The man was detained in Moscow on Saturday, November 30. It was specified that for eight months the man organized several similar tours.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning LGBT propaganda, pedophilia and sex change in Russia in early December 2022. According to the law, administrative liability will be incurred for committing such acts against persons of any age, not only against minors, as it was envisioned before its adoption.
