Two teenagers were detained in a shooting chase in St. Petersburg

A car with two schoolchildren was detained in St. Petersburg as a result of a chase with shooting. This was reported in the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region on December 2.
The press service said that on the night of December 1, the traffic police crew decided to stop the car Kia Ceed in order to check documents, having given the driver the appropriate signal. However, the young man behind the wheel, adding speed, went further.
Auto inspectors organized the pursuit of the offender, who during the chase ran a red traffic signal and drove into the lane with oncoming traffic.
"Since the daredevil by his maneuvers created a threat to other road users and did not respond to repeated demands to stop, police officers after a warning shot in the air opened fire from the service weapon on the wheels of his car", - noted in the department.
It is specified that the car was driven by a 17-year-old student of one of the special schools of Primorsky district, and his companion was a 16-year-old student of a secondary school of Kirovsky district of St. Petersburg.
The driver of the foreign car was sent for medical examination, according to the results of which a decision will be made in accordance with the law, noted in the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg.
"Also during the proceedings it was found that the young daredevil, who does not have the right to drive vehicles, was riding on the car of a relative. The keys to the foreign car he took without asking, secretly from its owner", - added in the department.
With respect to the 17-year-old offender were drawn up administrative reports under Art. 12.7 of the CAO RF ("Management of a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right"), Art. 12.12 of the CAO RF ("Passing at the prohibiting traffic light signal"), Art. 12.15 of the CAO RF ("Violation of the rules of location of the vehicle on the roadway, oncoming separation or overtaking") and Art. 12.25 of the CAO RF ("Failure to comply with the requirement to provide or stop the vehicle").
Earlier, November 1, law enforcement agencies arrested three participants of the chase with shooting in Krasnodar for 15 days. Among the detainees - the driver of the car Vladislav Avtonosov and passengers Vladislav Korotya and a student from Chad Kerim Diondu. They are charged under the article "Disobedience to the lawful order or demand of a police officer."
The chase with shooting in Krasnodar became known on October 31. The driver of a foreign car, previously deprived of a driver's license, did not respond to demands to stop, as a result of which the police began a pursuit. The man made dangerous maneuvers and drove out on the oncoming traffic lane. As a result, he collided with three patrol cars and fled the scene.
