Court sentences Ukrainian man to 14 years for sabotage on railroad near Melitopol

Zaporizhzhya regional court sentenced a citizen of Ukraine to 14 years in a strict regime colony for sabotage at Melitopol railroad. This was reported on December 2 by the press service of the FSSB of Russia in the region.

It is established that the defendant transferred to an employee of the security service of Ukraine via messenger corrected coordinates of the object of transport infrastructure of Zaporizhzhya region for further striking it by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) missile and artillery attack.

"According to the results of artillery shelling caused damage to the state enterprise "Melitopol railroad", - stated in the message of the Department.

In November, two young men were detained in the Moscow region for setting fire to a railroad motorized train. Young men followed the instructions of an unknown person, who contacted them in messenger and promised to pay 120 thousand rubles. To confirm the fact of arson, they recorded a video report.

A criminal case has been opened under paragraphs "a" and "c" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("A terrorist act committed by a group of persons, with significant damage"). The defendants may be arrested as a preventive measure.
