- The head of a district in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, suspected of poaching, said that he was not fishing alone

Sergei Manenkov, the head of Beloyarsk District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, denied suspicions of poaching in a conversation with Izvestia on December 2.
The head of the district had earlier published a video from a fishing trip in social networks, which showed a rich catch. The media said that Manenkov may have violated the norms of catching pike.
"I was not alone. There were three of us. The norm of catch per day in our Khanty-Mansiysk district is 10 kilograms per person. We did not exceed any norms. Before the publication of information I said that I would share fish with a large family," he said.
According to the head of the district, back on December 1, after fishing, he stopped by a batyushka, who has five children, and gave him five pikes.
"It even shows there that I was not alone and the norm I did not exceed. I have lived in Beloe Yar for 45 years. Believe me, I was not a poacher and I am not one," he concluded.
In early November in Kamchatka during the operational and preventive measure "Putina-2024" detained three men with salmon worth 135 thousand rubles. They are suspected of illegal extraction of fish of the salmon family. The poachers were found on the Avacha River and in the Malaya Lagernaya Bay of Avacha Bay.
