Tour operator calls blisters from mosquito bites in Cuba an individual reaction

The large blisters that appeared on a Muscovite woman after being bitten by Cuban mosquitoes are an individual reaction. This was stated to "Izvestia" on Monday, December 2, by Alexan Mkrtchan, vice-president of the "Alliance of Travel Agencies".
"We have been sending tourists to Cuba for 20 years, even more, for 25 years. If it was what you say, no one would have sent anyone there long ago. This is probably an individual reaction of this particular woman," Mkrtchan said.
He also urged not to make a "mass problem" out of the incident.
Earlier, the media, citing Russian tourists in Cuba, reported that visitors suffer from local fly bites and published footage of rashes of one affected woman.
In July, the little-known Chandipura virus, which is transmitted through the bites of mosquitoes, ticks and mosquitoes, began to spread in India. By July 21, at least 16 people had died from the virus. A total of 50 cases have been reported. The symptoms of the virus coincide with those of viral encephalitis, making it difficult to diagnose the disease.
