Lada car sales grew by almost 31%


In the first 11 months of 2024, 417.4 thousand passenger and commercial vehicles Lada were sold in Russia, which is 30.6% more compared to the same period last year. In November, sales amounted to 39.6 thousand units (+9.8% compared to November last year). This is stated in the report of AvtoVAZ, which was received by "Izvestia" on December 2.
Lada Granta sales totaled 14.7 thousand units in the last fall month. From January to November, 190.3 thousand Granta were sold, which corresponds to the level of last year. Lada Vesta sold 8.1 thousand cars in November (+1.2% compared to November last year). For 11 months - 113.3 thousand cars of the family (+173.7%).
Lada Largus, which has been gaining sales after the restart of production, showed a multiple growth in November: 6.4 thousand passenger station wagons (+138.7% compared to October this year) and 1.9 thousand vans (+105.8%) were sold.
The classic SUV Lada Niva Legend for 11 months showed the result of 44.2 thousand cars (+14.4%), and Niva Travel - 46.7 thousand cars (+4.8%). Compared to November last year, their sales decreased - 5 thousand to 3.8 thousand for the former and from 5.2 thousand to 4.1 thousand for the latter.
On November 28, AvtoVAZ announced that it will introduce a new B+ segment crossover on the Lada Vesta platform in the summer of 2025 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). A key project in 2025 will be the launch of Lada Iskra production, and one of the nearest new products will be the Niva Sport SUV. Upgrades to popular models are also planned, including the introduction of a more modern 1.8-liter engine on the Niva family.
On November 26, AvtoVAZ announced the resumption of production of Lada Niva Travel cars with airbags and ERA-GLONASS emergency call system. The SUVs were also equipped with a new steering wheel.
