People are gathering again for a protest rally near the building of the Georgian Foreign Ministry. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent on December 2.

At the moment, there are few people gathered, some of them holding flags of the country.

According to the correspondent, after the past protests in the building of the Parliament the broken windows are not being replaced in time, plywood sheets are inserted into the window openings on the lower floors and metal bars are welded.

The building itself is painted with black and red paint, in some places tiles are broken on the sidewalks.

Theprotest action has been going on for the fourth day in Georgia. It is connected with the suspension of negotiations on European integration and disagreement with the results of parliamentary elections in the country. On November 30, protesters tried to set fire to the parliament building and damaged dozens of offices. Against the backdrop of the situation, the country's Interior Ministry called on the opposition supporters to remove children from the rally for safety reasons.

Earlier, on November 30, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that she would not give up her powers. In her opinion, the parliament of the new convocation is "illegitimate", so her powers will continue after the end of her mandate.

After the rally, Zurabishvili's supporters completely blocked Rustaveli Avenue, where the country's parliament building is located, with barricades of trash cans and benches. It was also reported that protesters painted the walls of the government building black.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze warned on December 1 that Zurabishvili would have to leave office by law on December 29.
