Forecaster predicts snow in the middle of the week in Moscow
Unstable weather persists in Moscow this week, with snow expected in the middle. Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist of the Meteonovosti information agency, told Izvestia on December 2 about the weather in Moscow for the week.
"In principle, such unstable weather remains, but it is quite warm, because at the beginning the weather will be determined by the periphery of the anticyclone," the forecaster noted.
According to her, on Tuesday significant precipitation is not expected, the temperature during the day and night - 0 degrees Celsius, and already on Wednesday the weather will be cloudy with a little snow and a drop in temperature.
"Behind the cold front to us will come a portion of cool, even cold by current concepts of air. The minimum temperature in Moscow - within -2...-3 degrees, and the daytime temperature - from 0 to -2. Then the atmospheric pressure will increase", - said Pozdnyakova.
According to the expert, on Thursday and Friday significant precipitation is not expected, the minimum temperature across the region - -2...-7, and the daytime temperature -1...-6 degrees.
"The next portion of small snowfall can be expected at the end of the week, most likely it will be Saturday and Sunday. The temperature will not change significantly, the minimum temperature will remain negative - -2... -7, daytime temperature -1... -6 degrees, that is, the air temperature will approach the climatic norm. We will expect that the snowfall, which we expect in the middle of the week, will settle on the ground and will not melt", - summarized Pozdnyakova.
Earlier, on December 2, forecaster of the Meteo forecasting center Alexander Ilyin told Izvestia about the weather in Moscow on New Year's Eve. Closer to the New Year the temperature will drop to -12 degrees Celsius. Snowfalls in December will be prolonged, but not heavy.
