Sobyanin told about the equipment of the ophthalmology center of Botkin Hospital

In five years, the Moscow City Ophthalmology Center of Botkin Hospital has performed about 200 thousand operations. This was reported by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

According to him, patients of the center can get "a full range of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including surgical treatment with the use of modern equipment and innovative techniques". Doctors perform the most complicated operations in retinal detachment and cornea transplantation. As Sobyanin noted, the center widely "applies methods of laser therapy, microsurgical operations on lens replacement and glaucoma treatment".

Speaking about the equipment of the clinic, the mayor emphasized that doctors can use the most modern equipment - in total, they have at their disposal about 1.2 thousand units of equipment. "These are devices for corneal research and optical coherence tomography, photo slit lamps, new generation lasers and much more," the mayor wrote.

The operating unit of the center, where there is equipment for surgical interventions on any parts of the eye, including multifunctional microscopes with video recording systems, is also equipped with everything necessary, Sobyanin added.

In October, the mayor of Moscow said that in 2025 the expenditures for the development of health care in the capital will increase by 8%. For these purposes 1.1 trillion rubles will be allocated from the budget, taking into account MHI. According to Sobyanin, by the end of 2028 in the city it is supposed to finish the formation of a new framework of outpatient and inpatient medical care. In particular, only in 2025 it is planned to complete the reconstruction of the capital's polyclinics and to complete the new buildings of the Moscow City Oncological Hospital No. 62 on the territory of "Skolkovo", as well as the multidisciplinary complex of the Children's Hospital of St. Vladimir, the mayor said.
