Peskov said that Putin's visit to India is being prepared

Russian President Vladimir Putin 's visit to India has been planned and preparations have already begun. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on December 2.
"I can confirm that such a visit is indeed planned, it is being prepared, we are waiting for this visit," Peskov said.
At the same time, he added that there are no exact dates yet.
Earlier, on November 19, Peskov said that relations between Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be characterized as pragmatic. Moscow and New Delhi are developing their relations in various spheres, and the volume of trade and economic cooperation between the two states has experienced explosive growth. Importantly, the Russian Federation not only supplies India with energy resources but also cooperates with it in high-tech industries.
Thelast meeting between Modi and Putin took place on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, which was held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from October 22 to 24. The Russian President had then pointed out that he greatly appreciated the interaction with Modi within the BRICS framework, as Moscow and New Delhi were the originators of the association. In addition, Putin said that he and the Indian head of government had established a high level of mutual understanding.
In July, Modi visited Moscow, and the Russian leader held an informal meeting with him at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow. The president and the prime minister discussed the prospects for the development of relations between the two states. The next day, official talks between Putin and Modi took place.
