The Kremlin pointed to Ukraine's fatigue with Zelensky

Ukraine is tired of the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May. This statement was made by the Kremlin's official representative, Dmitriy Peskov, on 2 December.
This is how he commented on the words of Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko that the probability of attempts to hold talks on Ukraine in 2025 "is much higher than the probability that there will be no such attempts."
"The dynamics on the fronts - it is understandable. The process that is taking place in Ukraine is also understandable. There is fatigue with Zelensky. This fatigue is growing," he said at the briefing.
In addition, Peskov pointed to the change of mood in European countries. The Kremlin spokesman reminded that it is important for Russia to achieve its goals, so the special military operation (SMO) continues.
On the eve, the leader of the party "Arise, France" Nicolas Dupont-Eignan reproached the Ukrainian leader for disrupting the agreements on Ukraine. According to him, if Zelensky was ready for negotiations as early as 2022, "this monstrous conflict could have been avoided".
Earlier, on November 29, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the country would be defeated in the conflict with Russia. The politician pointed out that Ukraine lacked the means to turn the situation in the war zone in its favor. In addition, he said, Western countries expect Kiev to make concessions for the sake of a peace agreement.
In September, Peskov said that for Russia there is no alternative to winning a special military operation. According to him, it is necessary to continue the SWO, aligning its actions with the position of Western countries in order to achieve all goals, fulfill all tasks and win the conflict. He emphasized that Russia will complete the SWO when it ensures security for future generations.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
