Krasnoyarsk Krai became the most creative region in 2024

Krasnoyarsk Krai was named a creative region according to the results of the Russian Creative Awards 2024, the Russian national award in the sphere of creative industries. The award winners were announced at a ceremony held at the Zaryadye Concert Hall.

The Russian Creative Awards in the category "Creative Region" is awarded to the subject of the Russian Federation, where official and public initiatives have made the greatest contribution to the development of the creative sector of the subject itself and are an example for other regions. In Krasnoyarsk Krai, 20,000 people are employed in the industry, 13,000 creative industries entities operate, and the contribution of creative industries to GRP is 2.9%. The region has created a comprehensive system of support for creative business; the Siberian Institute for Creative Industries Development, the Kvadrat cluster, Industry. University" cluster, the Institute of Gastronomy of SFU - the main platform of the Russian Gastronomic Forum.

The importance of the Russian Creative Awards in the development of the creative economy of the regions was noted by Sergey Novikov, Head of the Presidential Department for Public Projects, who presented the award to the winner:

"What is a creative region? It is a region where all creative industries are developing: architecture and urbanism, cinematography and gastronomy, animation, fashion and design, advertising and marketing, everything we associate with creativity. Thanks to the award, many regions have been making huge advances on this path for years.

The victory in the nomination "Creative Region" is a common award for more than 20 thousand Siberians who are engaged in creative industries of the region, emphasized the Governor of Krasnoyarsk region Mikhail Kotyukov:

"These are people who every day with their labor, their efforts, their energy develop our native land. Today we have a lot of interesting new ideas, a lot of projects. We need to double the contribution of creative industries to the economy, and I have no doubt that we will cope with this task and this "Grain"(the prize trophy - crystal grain) will sprout on the Siberian land. We are waiting for all those who are not indifferent, all those who want to realize their plans quickly and accurately on the banks of the Yenisei".

Marina Mongush (Abramova), President of ANO Creative Economy, the ideological inspirer of the Russian Creative Awards 2024, summarized the results of the 2024 award and noted the role of regional teams in the development of the national creative economy:

"The key role in the support system for creative industries is, of course, for the territories, regional authorities. Our goal is strong, diversified regional economies in which creative industries play a prominent role. And the nomination "Creative Region" serves as a benchmark for the whole country, an indicator of how the subject creates conditions for the development of creative industries on its territory and achieves results. And this year it was my native Krasnoyarsk Krai.
