Ex-assistant of Dr. Kurpatov sentenced to 6 years in prison for fraud

Kuibyshevsky district court of St. Petersburg sentenced former assistant of Dr. Andrei Kurpatov Alexey Ievsky to six years of general regime colony for large-scale fraud. This was reported on December 2 by the joint press service of the city courts.

It is specified that the accused from May 2020 to August 2021 stole more than 33 million rubles, posing as a buyer of Kurpatov's property, including a share in an apartment and four land plots. He also took possession of more than 9.3 million rubles under the pretext of purchasing a Porsche Cayenne Coupe car for the doctor.

In addition, Ievsky stole a Breguet watch worth 1.2 million rubles and earrings worth 2.6 million rubles from the doctor's apartment.

"Further, the figurehead from 29.06.2020 to 06.10.2021 by abuse of trust Kurpatov persuaded the latter to register a legal entity in his name for the purpose of selling online courses, which were produced by individual entrepreneur Kurpatov," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the press service of the courts.

As a result, Ievsky should have transferred 112,503,786 rubles to the account of the organization, instead he transferred 76,520,833 rubles.

In court, the defendant did not admit his guilt. The court sentenced the defendant to six years' imprisonment. He will also have to pay 78 million rubles.

Earlier, on August 28, the city court of Blagoveshchensk passed a sentence against a 40-year-old resident of the regional center, who is accused of fraud on a particularly large scale. According to the agency, in the period from November 24, 2021 to February 28, 2022, the criminal, under the guise of a representative of a legal entity, entered into lease agreements with two organizations for 140 twenty-foot containers for the transportation of soybeans for a total amount of more than 41 million rubles. It is noted that the containers the perpetrator sold to third parties and did not return them to the tenants. The court sentenced the defendant to seven years in prison.
