St. Petersburg will host the finals of the Professionals Championship until 2027

A grandiose professional skills event has come to an end in the Northern Capital.

The final day of the Professionals Championship started at the Expoforum ECC with a tour of the competition grounds and pavilions by Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, and Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg.

Sergey Kravtsov emphasized the mass character of the next Professionals Championship: "In total, about 250 thousand young talented children took part in the regional and federal stages. The number of competences has increased in the final part. Representatives of more than 20 friendly countries came to St. Petersburg. The total number of visitors to the final events is impressive - there were about 20 thousand of them. In general, secondary vocational education and the flagship project "Professionalism" are developing very actively," emphasized Sergey Kravtsov. According to the Minister, from next year, on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the long-awaited program of repair of dormitories and colleges will begin. It is planned that all colleges, which will participate in the project "Professionality", will participate in the program of capital repairs.

The Governor of St. Petersburg noted the crucial role of the large-scale event for St. Petersburg held exclusively on Russian equipment for the second year in a row: "I am happy and proud to announce that our city is becoming the capital of the Professionals Championship final up to and including 2027. All the participants were delighted with what they saw in the city and the conditions of the competition," said Alexander Beglov. All the equipment involved during the finals will go to the colleges of the Northern Capital for the needs of the younger generation. "We live in the largest industrial, cultural, tourist city. To serve all branches of industry we need competent proven specialists, which we will successfully train," - said Alexander Beglov.

In the afternoon at the SKA Arena the closing ceremony of the finals took place, where the winners and runners-up in all 75 competences were awarded - 55 in the main category and 20 in the junior category. The main category was divided into blocks: technologies of creative industries, medicine and education (11 competences), transportation, logistics, services (10), information and communication technologies, technologies of hospitality industry (9), construction and building technologies (7), production and engineering technologies (18). All laureates received the opportunity to undergo internships with subsequent employment at major Russian enterprises.

The St. Petersburg team has 22 medals in its collection of finalists: 4 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze medals! In total, 48 contestants represented the Northern Capital in the finals - 39 in the main and 9 in the junior categories.

The final of the Professionals Championship was held from November 26 to 30. The main venue for the event was the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center.
