An Azur Air airplane made an emergency landing at an alternate airfield in Novosibirsk due to a technical malfunction. About it on Monday, December 2, reported the West-Siberian transport Prosecutor's office.
"According to preliminary data, today at about 9:00 local time (5:00 Moscow time - Ed.) the crew of the aircraft of Azur Air, traveling from Tomsk airport to Phuket (Kingdom of Thailand), due to a technical malfunction made a decision to land on an alternate airfield of the A.I. Pokryshkin Novosibirsk international airport," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
According to its information, the landing went safely. There were more than 300 passengers on board, which the airline will send to the destination on a reserve plane.
At the moment the aircraft is suspended from operation until the causes of the incident are clarified. Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting an inspection.
The day before, an airplane of Azimut airline, traveling to Sochi, was forced to land at the airport of Mineralnye Vody. According to representatives of the carrier, the flight returned back to the airport of departure for technical reasons. The passengers were taken to Sochi by a reserve flight.
