He is accused of committing a crime under part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ('Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization')," the department said in its Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, the teenager in May-June 2024 joined the Ukrainian paramilitary association "Legion "Freedom of Russia" (the organization is recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia). In its ranks, the accused performed tasks, collecting and transmitting to the formation information about strategically important industrial facilities in the Kemerovo region.

The defendant was detained, the court at the request of the investigation arrested him.

The IC added that against the background of evidence, the teenager partially pleaded guilty to the crime and the evidence against the defendant is enough to approve the indictment and send the case to the court for consideration on the merits.

The day before, on November 28, in the Chelyabinsk region, employees of the regional department of the Federal Security Service of Russia detained a man with radical views, who was spreading calls for terrorism in the messenger Telegram. A criminal case under Part 2 Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for extremist activity committed with the use of mass media or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet") was opened against the detainee. In addition, the man offered law enforcement officers a bribe, and because of this he became the subject of the second criminal case - under part 3 of article 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Giving a bribe to an official").
