The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are striking Russian positions in Kursk Region, using military equipment, which is subsequently destroyed. This was reported by the deputy chief of staff for intelligence of the seaside volunteer unit "Tiger" with the call sign Orel in a conversation with RIA Novosti on December 2.

"They send, send, send, I repeat, three or four nakat per day. And each nakat with the use of equipment," the officer said.

He also said that Russian artillerymen are successfully destroying AFU drones.

"We already have all the places shot, we catch, set on fire and destroy them on roll-ups," Orel stated.

Also on December 2, the Russian Defense Ministry showed how an Army aviation crew on a Ka-52 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group struck personnel and a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) stronghold in a border area of Kursk Region with air missiles.

On November 30, units of the "North" troop group defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of 11 settlements in Kursk Region. The settlements include Alexandria, Viktorovka, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Martynovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo and Sverdlikovo.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
