- Fighters of the reconnaissance group deprived the AFU of a supply route in the Kursk direction

Soldiers of the reconnaissance group of the 177th Marine Regiment are cutting off the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) supply routes in the Kursk direction, which are already in short supply. The servicemen told Izvestia correspondent Emil Timashev about it on December 2.
"There was a task to identify supply routes. <...> How they supply arms, ammunition. They take out the wounded and supply personnel. The task was accomplished," commented the Russian fighter with the call sign Vysota.
According to the serviceman, he independently selects fighters to his group. Since the competition for a place is very high, only the best get into the unit, emphasized Vysota.
"I learned to orient myself by stars, by wind, by fog. I recognize where the tracks lead, the car passed, in which direction it was headed," said a serviceman with the call sign Yeager.
Even the younger members of the group has a solid military training.
"When I was still at school, my parents put me in a cadet boarding school, and for five years I was trained in military specifics," commented a soldier with the call sign Mavik.
Thanks to the thoughtfulness of each step, the Russian fighters move stealthily and almost silently. They were the first to spot the location of the AFU and transmit the coordinates, after which precise strikes were carried out on the targets.
It took 20 shells to hit the southern outskirts of the town of Sudzha, where Ukrainian troops are now trying to gain a foothold.
A Russian military officer with the call sign Ileti said that the drones gave a good view of the Ukrainian militants' fortifications, which they are making hastily in desperation.
Earlier, on December 1, in the border area of Kursk Region, military police of the North group of troops delivered humanitarian aid to residents of settlements in the Korenevsky district, where civilian volunteers cannot reach. The situation is particularly difficult in remote settlements where there is no electricity, gas or food, and people can only be reached by off-road vehicles.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the AFU units that invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
