The Israeli Air Force forced an Iranian plane flying over Syria to turn around


Israeli Air Force fighter jets forced an airplane traveling from Iran to change its course in the skies above Syria. This was reported by The Times of Israel on Monday, December 2.
The incident occurred in the Syrian sky on the night of December 1, the publication reported citing its sources. According to them, the Iranian airliner was carrying weapons intended for the Shiite Lebanese movement Hezbollah.
According to the publication, this is not the first time the Israeli military has forced Iranian planes to turn around.
Earlier, on November 28, Dmitry Gendelman, advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Dmitry Gendelman told Izvestia that Israel has not changed its stance toward Hamas after the truce in Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) added that the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon has nothing to do with Gaza. IDF spokeswoman Anna Ukolova told Izvestia.
