A liner passenger threatened tour operator Swan Hellenic with picketing the ship

The last starving passenger of the SH Diana liner Natalia, who did not get to Antarctica within the Swan Hellenic tour, canceled the demonstration asceticism, with her the only company entered into negotiations. This was reported to Izvestia on December 2 by the affected passenger Ilya Strokov.
"Tonight the Swan Hellenic company has started negotiations with Natalya. This is the last hunger striker who came out of hunger strike yesterday. <...> Nevertheless, unfortunately, I want to say that probably the struggle is not over at this point, because other Russian passengers have not received any invitations," he said.
Strokov expressed regret that the company only understands the language of radical measures that the liner's passengers are willing to take, encouraged that they have started to negotiate with Natalya and that the two hunger strikers had previously reached some kind of reasonable compromise.
"We will not stop, we will go further. We would like, of course, to act exclusively within the legal framework. We have consulted with our friends. <...> They have told us what opportunities and compensations we should receive under European law. I want to inform you, it is not at all 30%, which was referred to by the CEO of Swan Hellenic", - said the tourist.
The passenger said that about 20 people signed a pre-trial claim: 12 from the Chinese group and 10 from the Russian group.
Strokov also said that if the company does not take any steps to at least start a dialog, the tourists will coordinate with local authorities to picket the ship.
"We will be forced to picket the ship and act by such methods if the company does not understand another language. Nevertheless, we would still like to find some common language, a compromise and hope that everything will be fine," he concluded.
Earlier, on December 1, a passenger of the SH Diana liner Natalia Litvinova, who did not get to Antarctica within the tour of Swan Hellenic company and went on hunger strike, announced her intention to sue the operator. According to Litvinova, Swan Hellenic does not care about the feelings of the people it deprived of their dreams and finances.
On November 30, another passenger of the airliner told Izvestia that Litvinova had been fasting for five days. According to her, the crew showed no interest and sympathy for Natalya's condition. At the same time, a medical officer visited the starving woman every day to measure her vitals.
British newspaper The Times reported on November 29 that the passengers of the liner SH Diana headed to Antarctica, including Russians, went on hunger strike due to engine failure. The captain of the ship cited propeller failure as the reason for the refusal to go to the designated point. One of the passengers said that the captain of the ship did not inform the Russian Embassy about the beginning of the Russian tourists' hunger strike in protest. She noted that citizens from Britain and China had also joined them.
Later, the development director of the British cruise company Swan Hellenic in Russia, Yulia Dmitrieva , told Izvestia that two of the hunger-striking passengers of the liner had managed to reach an agreement, while another passenger was still negotiating with her. For the disrupted trip, the organizer offered customers to choose between a 65% discount on the next cruise and a refund of 50% of the ticket price for the failed trip. At the same time, the starving Russian Natalya Litvinova wants to receive a voucher for a similar cruise from the company.
