Dozens of people were killed in clashes between fans at a soccer match in Nzérékoré, Guinea's second largest city. This was reported by Barron's on December 1, citing anonymous sources.

One doctor said "about 100 people have died," with bodies filling the local hospital and morgue.

"At the hospital, bodies are lined up in rows as far as the eye can see. Others are lying on the floor in the corridors. The morgue is overcrowded," he commented.

Another doctor told the magazine that the death toll was in the dozens.

"It all started with a contested decision by the referee. Then the fans ran onto the field," the eyewitness stated.

It is specified that the match was part of a tournament in honor of the leader of the of the rebels in Guinea, Col. Mamadi Doumbouya.

Earlier, on November 14, fans of the national team of France and the national team of Israel staged a mass brawl during the match of the group tournament of the Nations League.
