Jake Sullivan, the U.S. President's National Security Advisor, is not alarmed by the likely appointment of "deep state" proponent Cash Patel as FBI Director. He said in an interview with ABC News on Dec. 1.

"I have 50 days left to continue to try to protect this country from threats, to continue to advance our national interests. I'm going to spend every day doing that and not worry about other things," he informed.

The U.S. president's national security adviser said he needs to worry about things before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.

"We have a lot of work to do. And frankly, we're going to try to do it also in a way that we have a smooth transition with the new team of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump," he revealed.

At the same time, Sullivan said that so far he is satisfied with the coordination he has managed to establish with Trump's new team.

On this day, Trump appointed Cash Patel, former chief of staff of the U.S. Secretary of Defense, as head of the FBI. Trump is convinced that under the new head of the FBI "will end the crime epidemic in America."

Earlier, on November 27, Trump said that the special envoy for Ukraine in his administration will be the national security adviser to former Vice President Mike Pence, Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg. The Republican promised that together they would "bring peace through strength and make America and the world safe again."

Prior to that, on Nov. 23, Trump nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to be U.S. Justice Secretary. The president-elect also noted Bondi's work to stop drug trafficking and reduce the number of drug-related deaths.

At the time, Trump also proposed nominating Linda McMahon, who led the U.S. Small Business Administration during Trump's first term in office, as the nation's Secretary of Education. McMahon could have headed the U.S. Department of Commerce, but investor and billionaire Howard Lutnick was nominated for the post.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 50% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 48.4%. Speaking to supporters afterward, the politician called his goal as head of state the end of military conflicts in the world.
