"Spartak" defeated "Krasnodar" and climbed to third place in the table

Spartak Moscow soccer club (FC) defeated Krasnodar 3-0 in the 17th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) thanks to a double by Costa Rican striker Manfred Alonso Ugalde. This was reported by the newspaper Sport-Express on December 1.

Ugalde completed a double in favor of the Red-Whites in 11 minutes of the first half (on the 17th and 28th). At the end of the game, Esekiel Barco scored Krasnodar's third goal.

Ugalde is the top scorer of the current RPL season with 14 goals.

The Red-Whites won their fifth consecutive victory in the RPL. Dejan Stankovic's team climbed to third place in the table.

"Krasnodar" lost for the first time in the RPL season, before that he had 11 wins and five draws. Murad Musayev's team is second in the standings with 38 points. Zenit is leading with 39 points.

Before that, on November 11, it was reported that six teams will take part in the friendly Winter Cup of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in February 2025. Zenit, Rostov, Dynamo, Spartak, CSKA and Krasnodar will take part in it.
