Uzbek Interior Ministry releases foreign agent Alexei Pivovarov

In Uzbekistan, journalist Alexei Pivovarov (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent) and his crew, as well as journalist of Hook.report Feride Makhsetova were released from the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Nukus. He wrote about it in his Telegram channel on December 1.

"When we were in Nukus, we were invited for a conversation by the staff of the Interior Ministry. We talked, told about ourselves and our plans, the officers were polite and correct," he wrote.

Pivovarov informed that at the moment he and the film crew are already "moving on".

Earlier in the day, a number of Telegram channels reported about the detention of the journalist and his film crew in the city of Nukus. The reasons and circumstances were not specified.Pivovarov was included in the list of foreign agents on June 3, 2022. He has not resided in Russia since 2022.
