Kazakhstan does not support anti-Russian sanctions on goods that are produced in the country. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin on Sunday, December 1.

"We are talking about the fact that there are certain goods that are produced in our country, and they fall into the sanctions lineup. And we said: on these goods we are not going to make any restrictions," he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, a fragment of which is quoted in the Telegram channel "Vesti".

According to Zhumangarin, sanctions may negatively affect Kazakhstan's economy, as the country does not intend to sacrifice its own production.

Earlier, on November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh leader Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said that Russia and Kazakhstan will support each other, oppose undermining stability and violating territorial integrity.

Prior to that, November 7, the Russian president said at a plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club that the West's attempts to deal a crushing blow to Moscow with anti-Russian sanctions have failed, because the world needs Russia and no decisions of politicians from Washington will not change that.
