Britain's navy reported an attack on a ship off the coast of Yemen's port of Aden

Unknown people attacked a ship off the coast of the Yemeni port of Aden. This was reported on Sunday, December 1, by the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) under the country's Navy.
It is specified that the incident occurred 80 miles south of the port.
The incident is being investigated by authorities.
"Ships are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO," a statement on the agency's website reads.
Earlier on Nov. 12, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saria said that the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) struck the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. In addition, the Houthis attacked two U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea.
The Houthis began striking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden last November in protest of Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip. On the night of Jan. 12, in response to their actions, the U.S. and Britain launched an attack on Houthi targets in Yemen. The White House said the strikes on movement-controlled areas of the country were defensive in nature. It was also claimed at the time that the strikes were carried out to protect international vessels.
