French actor Niels Arestrup has died.

French actor Niels Arestrup died at the age of 75. Information about the death of the artist confirmed December 1, his wife Isabelle Le Nouvelle.

Arestrup's spouse stated that he had been struggling with illness.

"He passed away surrounded by the love of his family," she stated.

As Le Parisien specifies, the actor died at home in the suburbs of Paris.

Niels Arestrup was born on February 8, 1949 in France. He started acting in movies at the age of 24. He is known for his roles in the films "My Heart Stopped", "The Prophet" and "Quai d'Orsay".
