Boxer Johnson compared the fight with Minakov to a duel between a fighter jet and a tank

Boxer Kevin Johnson on the eve of the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Super Series" said that his bout with four-time world champion in combat sambo Vitaly Minakov will be like a battle between a fighter jet and a tank.

"It will be a battle. How to understand who will win the war? We have to drop bombs on each other and see who will be the last one left. It's not easy to predict, but I know it will be a war. <...> That's who I'll have to go up against: a fighter jet against an armored tank. Who will win? We don't know who is tougher," the athlete said.

The boxer called his future opponent a war machine.

Johnson also compared the upcoming fight to a chess game, emphasizing the importance of strategy, strength, speed, coordination and reaction.

A large-scale boxing tournament as part of the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Superseries" will be held on December 13 in the sports complex "Megasport". The main event of the evening will be a bout between MMA fighter Vitaly Minakov and boxer Kevin Johnson. Alexei Papin and American fighter Greg Hardy will meet in a consensual fight. Also European champion, two-time Russian boxing champion Sergey Kuzmin and professional boxer Murad Khalidov will enter the ring.

Earlier, on November 29, Russian boxer Grigory Drozd said that the fight will be difficult for Minakov and he is confident in Johnson's victory. According to the athlete, Minakov is famous for his knockout punch, but for Johnson, who once fought for a world title, this fight could be an ordinary "walk".
