Musk criticized the developers of the F-35 fighter jets

American entrepreneur Ilon Musk criticized the developers of the fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets.
He posted a video on social network X (formerly Twitter) of a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on November 24, comparing them to fighter jets.
"Meanwhile, some <...> continue to build manned fighter jets like the F-35," he criticized the manufacturers.
According to Musk, a good alternative to producing expensive fighter jets is to develop more efficient drones. He emphasized that in the case of drones there would be no "overhead costs" for the pilot, specifies "Gazeta.Ru".
The entrepreneur also made a publication in which he called for stopping "the worst military decision in history in terms of value for money," referring to the project of fifth-generation fighter jets.
Earlier, on Nov. 25, Musk said that he considers the F-35 fighter jets a failure because of the inflated requirements for their development. He called the F-35 "a master of expensive and complex" and yet "a master of nothing."
Before that, on November 23, the press service of the U.S. Department of Defense reported that the Pentagon has signed contracts with large defense companies for military production and supply of weapons worth more than $1.3 billion. It was reported that the largest contract was awarded to Lockheed Martin for a total of $869.9 million for the production of F-35 Lot 20 fighter jets.
