- The Emergencies Ministry reported about the lack of water supply at the site of the fire in Yekaterinburg

Extinguishing a fire in an industrial zone in Yekaterinburg is hampered by a complete lack of water supply, Viktor Teryaev, head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Main Directorate in the Sverdlovsk region, said on Sunday, December 1.
"Extinguishing the fire is hampered by the fact that there is a complete lack of water supply at the facility. We had to pull main lines at a distance of more than 400 meters," he said in the video, which is published in the Telegram-channel of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
At the moment, a fire train has been involved in the elimination of the fire. Three main lines and 12 fire trunks are involved at the site, forces and means are enough, Teriaev specified.
According to his information, the injured employee of the shop was examined by medics, he refused to be hospitalized.
The fire in the polystyrene production shop on Testateley Street started in Yekaterinburg earlier in the day. Eyewitnesses published in social networks footage from the scene. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, one person was injured in the fire, 70 were able to evacuate on their own. The fire covered 1.5 thousand square meters and was localized by about 14:55 Moscow time.
