The AFU lost more than 37,000 soldiers during the fighting in the Kursk border area


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 37,000 fighters during the fighting in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, December 1.
"In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 37 thousand soldiers, 225 tanks, 160 infantry fighting vehicles, 123 armored personnel carriers, 1204 armored combat vehicles, 1063 vehicles, 305 artillery pieces," the ministry said.
Over the day, the Ukrainian army lost up to 255 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles (ACVs), three vehicles and two mortars.
The units of the "North" group of troops defeated the enemy formations in 12 localities of the region. These are Alexandria, Viktorovka, Zazulevka, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo and Sverdlikovo.
The Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation also struck AFU manpower and equipment in eight more localities in Kursk region and five localities in Sumy region.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon systems (SAMS) crews destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the AFU's airplane type in the border area of Kursk Region.
The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
